We woke up yesterday to see our first bloom from this beautiful yellow lily that we planted last summer. It has blooms all over it and I’m so exciting. It really is fulfilling to see something that you’ve planted actually survive and flourish. I LOVE this beauty, and it’s right near my steps going off of my back porch–and I don’t even have to tell you how much I love that porch. :) It’s just the perfect place out there.
Boy, was I a grouch yesterday or what? I always hate when I post stuff like that because then I want to take it all back. Of course, I could just delete the post but I don’t like doing that. I was just aggravated when I was writing because my hubby wasn’t home and I was here alone when we could’ve been meeting our son in Chattanooga for a nice supper.
Today we’ve had a fabulous day. I got up at 6, threw some clothes on and went to Wal-Mart to get cat food, dog food, and a few other things. I was at the gym by 6:45 and worked out until 8:30. I was there alone until about 8:15 and I really enjoyed my workout.
When I got back to the house we just lazed around until around noon, then I showered and we all got ready for a cookout at my dad and stepmom’s house. My brother and my nephew were there, too, and we were happy to see them.
Daddy and Becky (stepmom) are rehabilitating two abandoned raccoons and they are PRECIOUS. They are only about six weeks old and they make the cutest little sounds.
Aren’t they precious? Who knows what happened to their mom, poor little fellas.
We were at Dad’s until 9 o’clock and we sure did enjoy visiting with them. Becky fixed a delicious dinner with burgers, potato salad, deviled eggs, baked beans, and dessert. It was all very yummy.
Have a great weekend.
