We got to our destination in Virginia at about 9 last night and boy were we tired. We are in Rocky Mount, Va. and this is my second time here. It’s gorgeous. You would not believe how pretty all of the farms are. They are mostly all picture-perfect.
Today is the anniversary of the shootings at Va. Tech. We are about an hour from Va. Tech so everyone around here is wearing their Va. Tech t-shirts, and everywhere you look flags are flying at half-mast. It’s all very sad.
We weren’t able to do the work today that needed to be done because the electricians hadn’t finished their job. It did not make for a very happy hubby. We decided to do some sightseeing since they weren’t finished and we went to Smith Mtn. Lake State Park and stayed there for about an hour. The lake was huge and very pretty. The day was very nice, too, so that made it all the better. :)
My sister turns 44 today. We don’t stay in touch. I don’t know why. I’ve made every effort to keep in touch with her. I don’t know what the deal is with her. We’ve never had a falling out so I don’t know what’s going on. I wish we were close like we used to be. I love her very much. VERY much. Maybe one day we’ll be close again.
Happy Birthday, Kamille. I love you. :)
Well, I’m going to get in bed. We’re getting up at 5 in the morning. FUN!
