Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and yours from me and mine. :)

Before the voices
of the Earth’s choirs
were raised in praise…
there was a silent night.

Before the strings of lights
were wound around the world,
and tinsel strung…
there was a single star.

Before the wide~eyed wonder
of a child on Christmas morn…
Before the gifts…
there was a child,
born in Bethelehem,
who showed the world
the greatest gift of all…

is love.

I hope you have had a Merry Christmas. We have had a wonderful day. The kids and Marshall and I all got some really nice gifts. For example, Marshall got me a Homer Simpson Chia head. So yeah, really nice gifts! (o=

I changed out of my pajamas for only a little bit and then put them right back on. It has been sleeting for most of the day, and now it’s raining. I haven’t been outside all day, except for to take Lucy out this morning. Marshall has been flipping through the channels all day, Cain is at his girlfriend’s house, and Brooke and I have been dozing on and off for most of the day. Pathetic, really. ;)

Marshall’s parents came over for a while and visited with us. We had a great time at their house last night. We didn’t stay at my mom’s house for very long because she was sick. I hope she feels better today. She’s had a rough few weeks.

Merry Christmas! Only 365 more days until next Christmas! :)

“And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

Luke 2:8-14
